How To Delay Periods?

regestrone is recommended to delay periods. my daughter who has to participate ina dance programme was taking it for the last one week. she was expected to have her periods two days back.but now she has got her periods despite taking this tablet for almost a week

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The medication should not be used for too long, and can at times result in the period appearing. Regestrone is not universally used to delay periods, but is another drug which you should use only after advise from a medical professional (physical consultation). The drug is norethisterone, but I would prefer you not self medicating as you are indeed playing with your daughters menstrual cycle and can result in a number of irregularities in her future.
