I've been snorting pain polls for a few yrs now and its gotten to the point that my ent doest even know what to do I quit doing them over a week ago but this pain is awful even the air getting to my nose hurts I've tried the netty pott I've tried putting neosporin I've tried all types of these, my question is is there something I can do to bo
Numb the pain where it isn't affecting that entire side of my face and head? I know that if it didn't hurt the rest of my face and head would be Ok plz help me what would numb this

Hi. This can very well be a local neuralgia. I hope the CT Scan of paranasal sinuses is normal, get this done if not yet done. Try local spray of xylocain, see if this helps. IF the pain goes this is a local neurological problem due to instigation of a local branch of trigeminal nerve. You may please go for a MRI for the trigeminal nerve. Is this sporadic or continuous ? Are there any associated symptoms, like excessive nasal discharge from one side only? Try gabapentin / tryptomer / tegritol, for which you need a Doctor's prescription. This can be an empty nose syndrome too if both nostril are affected. Come back to us with further history and may be the investigations. Neti will not help
