How To Cure Sneezing And Runny Nose?

My eleven year old daughter sneezes and has a runny nose every time the AC kicks on at my parents condo here in Florida. The place has sat unused for a couple months. Someone had turned the humidistat off and I noticed mold on the gaskets on the refrigerator door. I've noticed that the place was really humid when we got here so I turned the humidistat back on. It doesn't bother my wife or me and we both tend to occasionally have allergy problems. My daughter rarely does but there seems to be a direct correlation between the AC turning on and her sneezing and wiping her nose. Thinking back a week, she seemed to be getting a cold after we first arrived here for a day. We then drove up to Disney World for 4 nights and she was fine. We didn't think much of it since she has a history of catching what seem to be really definite colds, including fever, etc. but shaking them off in a day or so. At any rate, back here for our third day and I've noticed this correlation. She has not tended to show allergic reactions before and has regular checkups. In fact, she was born with a large arachnoid cyst and had two shunts (CP and VP) placed as an infant. A couple revisions (6 months and 5 years old). So, we have monitored her pretty closely these 11 years and she has never really shown any allergic tendencies to this point.
