How To Cure Redness In The Cheeks?

My 10 year old daughter awoke 2 mornings ago with reddened cheeks, I thought a reaction to facial cleanser. Her cheeks continue to be red and swollen. They are very warm to touch and she is uncomfortable. She does have seasonal allergies, could this be related to that? How do I get redness to go away?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain redness and swelling of cheeks along with warm feeling and a history of seasonal allergies can be most probably due to allergic reaction only that can be due to Contact dermatitis caused by any skin cosmetic,bug bite, soaps etc..
Food allergies can also be a cause..

As of now you can give her anti allergics like Benadryl and do cool compresses to relieve the symptoms..

I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated..
He can advise allergic tests like RAST TEST, Patch test, food challenge test etc to confirm the cause of the symptoms and treat accordingly..

Once the cause of allergy is ruled out avoiding exposure to the allergen can relieve the symptoms..

She can also be instilled Immunotherapy to reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms..
