How To Cure Lump On Back Of Lower Leg?

My daughter notices a lump on the back of my lower leg yesterday. I said it was just muscles not being able to view entire leg. Today, I notices that it definately looks like a lump. I thought that possibly it is a blood clot. Can one see blood clots as lumps? If I push down on the area, I can feel very soft lump.
