How To Cure Headache Post Retrieval Of The Wisdom Teeth?

My daughter had her 4 wisdom teeth out 7 days ago, and has been on some heafty pain meds, including T3 s, and Motrin ... While her teeth seem to be healing ok, it is the 40 hour headache that I m a bit concerned about. It seems like codeine withdrawal, and yet I m wondering if there s something other than normal detox time that I should be concerned about here?

Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

It seems that you have a migraine which is caused by the extraction of the wisdom tooth. You can try the following to see if it helps you:
Inhale steam mixed with Eucalyptus oil to clear the nasal passages
Take a Paracetamol 500 when you feel you are about to get a headache
Drink lots of water
Sleep well and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day
Eat meals at regular times

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
