Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 87 year old father n law fell and hit head 4-6 weeks ago, has bump, sometimes warm to touch and red. He gets headaches everyday about the same time and isn't sleeping. Pain keeps him awake at night. Take ibuprofen and tylenol with codeine. CT was negative. What to do??
Hello, Thank you for trusting HCM. The older we get the harder to fall asleep, with his pain its even harder, you can perform a MRI scan to check for other abnormalities that the CT might miss. Plus you can change the pain control medications to stronger ones, and add some sleeping aid pills, all of this should be under proper doctor supervision. hope that helps. Dr. Ahmad
