How To Cure Diarrhea?

my 8 months old son has had diarrea for the past 48 hours, no fever, but close (97-100.0 when I have checked) and has glassy eyes now. He is still wetting diapers, but not as much as normal; still eating, but not as much as normal. (usually takes 30-34oz formula-similac advance early shield- a day & has been taking 20-26 past 2 days) what should I do?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Since your baby is just 8 months old with diarrhea, mild fever and glassy eyes you should immediately take the baby to the Pediatrician for clinical evaluation and examination.
This will allow not to miss anything which can be intolerance or intestinal infection.
The Pediatrician would advise blood and stool tests and give appropriate antibiotics if there is an evidence of an intestinal infection, will give proper advise about the water and electrolyte balance.
Even a large vomiting or loose motion can cause dehydration in small babies hence nothing should be tried at home other than proper hydration.
Discuss about the further feeding solutions.
