Since your baby is just 8 months old with diarrhea, mild fever and glassy eyes you should immediately take the baby to the Pediatrician for clinical evaluation and examination. This will allow not to miss anything which can be intolerance or intestinal infection. The Pediatrician would advise blood and stool tests and give appropriate antibiotics if there is an evidence of an intestinal infection, will give proper advise about the water and electrolyte balance. Even a large vomiting or loose motion can cause dehydration in small babies hence nothing should be tried at home other than proper hydration. Discuss about the further feeding solutions.
