How To Cure Abrasions On Nose That Has Turned To Red After Applying Savlon?

Helli doctor.My babygirl fell down on Saturday while walking.She got an abrasion on her nose.And I started applying undiluted savlon as there was a slight wound.Now her nose is all red and I just read that savlon can burn skin.What can I do now to help he wound heal faster?And to undo any damage caused by Savkon! :o(

Hi. Well savlon is never applied undiluted. Anyways there is redness all over nose. The first thing is to clean it with simple water to remove any left savlon. Do not apply anything at the moment. she may need prescription medicines and since she is a small child , I would advise you to get a consultation with a Dermatologist. Any added things tried at home can worsen the problem. A good thing is that the small children heal very fast.
