Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

This is a very common problem and I have many patients with this problem.
There is nothing to worry. High blood pressure is a different condition. The abdominal problem is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). It is commonly referred to as 'colon' in the Gulf countries. Both fluctuating blood pressure and the abdominal symptoms can be made worse by stress.
A specialist in Internal Medicine or a gastroenterologist would be able to help your father . If he lives in Kuwait , I shall be happy to see him.
