dear sir I can understand your concern
in my opinion the increased creatinine level might be due to diabetic nephropathy
this is a kind of complication due to long standing diabetes
but the creation elevation might be due to dehydration also in some cause so I suggest you to consider doing 24 hour urine analysis to evaluate GFR which will give us information about the kidney function
in some cases by correcting the dehydration we can bring down the creatinine
but it will differ from case to case
kindly do above stated test for further evaluation and discussion
regards

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Harshal Vora 's  Response
Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Longterm diabetes leads to kidney, heart and eye complications.
Your kidney reports has started to show early damage from diabetes.
My advice to you is -

1. You have not mentioned whether you are taking blood pressure medicines or not, because some of the blood pressure medicines will prevent further damage to kidney. E .g. - tab. Enalapril.

2.Adequate control of diabetes will prevent further Renal damage. DO your FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report every 3 monthly for adequate sugar control.

3.Drink plenty of fluids orally, avoid any Form of pain killers which might harm your kidneys.
Do your kidney profile every monthly.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
