How To Confirm The Presence Of UTI?

Hi started getting a drawing in feeling on my upper left side of my abdomen just under my diaphragm several days ago, this evening it is feeling more like a cramping sensation. I am eating and drinking well, bowels are working well, although did get a stomach ache several days ago just prior to moving my bowels. I think I am reasonable healthy, age 51 yrs old and I am female. had hysterectomy and have no other signs and symptoms that may indicate a urinary tract infection. I have looked up appendicitis which appears to cause pain on the right lower abdomen. Is there some other diagnosis that may be obvious that you can suggest.

Hello
Looking at your description it might be related to kidney disease, intestinal colic or Acid peptic disease owing to stomach hyperacidity.

I would advise you for battry of tests like urine culture and an ultrasound to rule out kidney stone and urine infection.

Meanwhile take antiacidity medicines like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids.
Have plenty of fluids
avoid fatty fried and junk food

Hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for follow up question, I will be happy to help you.
Best wishes
