How To Confirm Pregnancy?

I have taken a number of home pregnancy tests and all have come back positive. However a blood test from the lab came back negative. I still haven t gotten my period; it s almost a week late. Should I be concerned about an early-stage ectopic pregnancy?

Hi,
It is unusual that the blood test came back negative while urine tests read positive, because the blood test is more sensitive and can read very low titres also. In the current scenario, please get a proper clinical assessment and also go for a trans-vaginal sonogram to confirm/exclude pregnancy. Serial titres of serum beta-hCG also can be done to see if there is doubling of titres as happens in a normal healthy pregnancy. It is unlikely to be an ectopic pregnancy with this picture. Hope this helps.
