How To Avoid Side Effects After Accidental Intake Of Paint Thinner?
hi i swallowed paint thinner by mistake ..it was in a water bottle.What should i do or eat now.Last nite i had digene and cold milk.should i control intake of some food..what should i dringk or eat and fr how many days chest area is burning slightly

Paint thinner has inhalant substances inside which act on the body in a fashion similar to alcohol (nervous system depressants). The quantity swallowed by you was by mistake so it was small and there is nothing to worry about. Ingesting anything wont help now, just take plenty of fluids to help the substance wash out of the body. The chest will slightly burn as it corrodes the inner layer of the food pipe, you may take antacids like capsule Omeprazole 20mg or Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily for a few days to prevent burning to some extent. It should subside within a week's time. Thanks!
