How Soon Is Pregnancy Test Advisable After Delayed Menstruation?

Hi so I wanted to ask what does it mean like I was suppose to get my period a week ago and I had sex last night and afterward when I wiped there was light bleeding pink a little light brown like when your period would start but after that no period and I took a test but It came out negative..is it too early for a test?

A pregnancy test will come positive immediately trophoblastic tissues appear.This coincides to 2 weeks after fertilization or after unprotected sex and may coincide to the time you are expecting your period.A pregnancy test is expected to come positive by the time you miss your period. A negative pregnancy test if done with a valid kit excludes pregnancy.Other causes of missed period and spotting may include: hormonal imbalances,PID/STI ,exercise, stress, medications...I will suggest you just observe if the period will come.If it does not, you see a professional for a pregnancy test.If still negative, you see a Gynecologist for evaluation.
