How Should Staphylococcus Aureus Std Disease Be Treated?

hello please, i contacted a staphylococcus Aureas std disease in december. But i have been treating it but to no avail - means it has not cured. i did a test that indicate the name of the infection if you are wondering how i got to know the name of the infection. I was prescribed to used "CLARINWIN 500MG" FOR two weeks by a doctor at public government hospital in Nigeria. The result: No cure. Two weeks later, i retook the test again, still positive. The doctor now prescribed another antibiotic "Ofloxacin 200mg" still no cure . Therefore, i became worried not only because of the psychological of having the disease but also because local doctors around were interested in exploiting me despite having the disease, not having enough money - am a social worker. Kindly assist because i don't want to spread it espcially to my family. I am married with 3 children. please, which antibiotics which i use to completely cure my "Staphylococcus Aurea std" Thank you.

Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hi XXXX
Thanks for your query at HCM!
I am Dr. Sheetal Verma an Infectious Disease Specialist answering to your query!
I went through your query and understand your concern.

Staphylococcus aureus, the most virulent of the many staphylococcal species, has demonstrated its versatility by remaining a major cause of morbidity and mortality despite the availability of numerous effective antistaphylococcal antibiotics.Prevention of the spread of S. aureus infections involves hand washing and careful attention to appropriate isolation procedures. You must get tested for careful screening for MRSA
carriage . The treatment you are taking is incorrect. Take medicines like clindamycin or ampiciilin sulbactum. You can also get bacterial culture and sensitivity test done and take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. If you would like some more information I will be happy to provide.
Take care! Wish you best of Health.
