Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir i can understand your concern
i am very sorry for condition of your father.
in my opinion the medication given for your father is called steroid
this steroid will increase blood sugar
its advisable to readjust insulin dose when patient is on steroid for a smooth blood sugar control.
usually steroids will control skin allergy and some autoimmune disorders very well.
i suggest you to take opinion of your doctor for further medication regarding skin problem

Hope I was able to help you.
If you have any further question feel free to write me back. I will be happy to help.
Take care.
Best Regards.
