Allergist and Immunologist 's  Response
Hello,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your wife's history and would like to make suggestions for her as follows:

1. For symptom relief, I would suggest her montelukast + levocetirizine regularly. I would also suggest her to use salbutamol or levosalbutamol inhaler on as-and-needed-basis for asthma attacks/wheezing/breathing difficulty.

2. For identifying allergies, I would suggest her allergy testing (skin prick test) for common air-borne allergens such as house dust mites, molds, pollens, insect proteins, animal dander (if you have pet).

This will help her identify the substances causing allergies to her and also to know the measures to avoid them.

3. Based on allergy testing, an Allergist-Immunologist may prescribe her allergen specific immunotherapy which gradually reduces her allergy symptoms by working on her immune system.

4. In general, I would suggest her to avoid exposure to dusts, smokes and air pollution as much as possible.

5. Regular physical exercises including breathing exercises and a healthy diet rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants will also help her in a long run by improving her lung capacity and immunity respectively.

6. I would like to mention here that allergy is a chronic disorder and requires regular treatment with a lot of patience.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish your wife the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards.
