How Should A Forehead Lump, Black Eyes With Facial Swelling Be Treated?

I felt very hard off my bike head on to the road pavement leaving the biggest bump on my right side of my forehead, when to the ER immediately where x-rays on my right hand and a CT Scan to my head which shows no brain injury or fracture, but now I have two black eyes, lots of swelling in my entire face after 5 days. When will the bump and swelling go away

Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. It is good that your head injury was not significant and there was no brain damage.

The black eyes with swelling will resolve on its own in 10 to 14 days. To fasten relief, you can follow few tips

: Avoid pressure at injury site
: Apply icepacks at swelling site
: You can take painkiller Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: You can take Serratiopeptidase to relieve edema
: Keep head at higher level than chest

Hope it will help you. If still no relief, you can consult doctor.

Thanks. Take care.
