How Should PCOS And Irregular Periods Be Treated For A Successful Pregnancy?
Hi. I m 27 years old.I have pcos and have itregular or no periods. I was taking metformin 850 for a year. After yasmin for 2 years.8 months nothing and i ve been taking duphaston to create periods. I had 2 periods in 8 months with duphaston.trying for baby for a year. Now i m going to start ovamit to try to get pregnant. Is it possible that i will need something else to help?

HI, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. To get a regular menstrual cycle with ovulation should be the aim of treating PCOD. You are taking Metformin- this should be accompanied by low calory diet schedule & routine exercises , in order to reduce weight.... for with weight loss the problem of insulin resistance & hormonal imbalance causing the PCOD would be under control. Taking medicine like Ovamit ( chlomiphene citrate ) to induce follicle maturity & ovulation .. is next stem in management of PCOD . Consultation of gynecologist is essential for step by step treatment of PCOD ) You may be advised for INJ, hcg for ovulation as per need. If nothing acts laproscopic drilling surgery maybe needed. Conception is possible naturally after cure of pcod & attening normal menses, That way it can happen at any step of treatment ... but it's advised to avoid that for possibility of multiple pregnancies ( Twins, trplets etc.) Thanks.
