How Serious Is It For A 3 Yr Old To Get Pneumonia And Flu?

How serious is it for my 3 yr old granddaughter to have been diagnosed with pneumonia on Tuesday by her pediatrician and has gotten worse, so tonight was diagnosed with type a flu by the er staff . She was given approximately 4 shots Tuesday by her pediatrician and got worse. She got 2 shots tonight at the er. I'm concerned about her health. Hi,
pneumonia is a LRTI infection of lung parenchyma which can be fatal. But if the treatment started early and agrasively(iv antibiotics and other supportive management ) then outcome is good.
So in my opinion you should continue treating the patient with your pediatrician . In case of doubt you can take second opinion.
