Hi,

Thanks for the query.

The reason for spotting is maybe again the hormonal disturbance that has not got corrected. Another common reason for similar complaints are cervical or uterine polyps. Unfortunately they go unnoticed many times as women are not willing to undergo a vaginal examination and these are best detected by direct examination and ultrasound. So please check if these have been done.

Repeated hormonal imbalance may be due to ovarian cysts. An ultrasound will detect these too.

Novex ds is a drug used to control dysfunctional uterine bleeding, a condition where no cause for irregular bleeding is detected. This is also another common cause of irregular bleeding especially in women after age 35. It is advisable to have an endometrial biopsy and examination of the uterine endometrium under microscope to rule out any cancer and confirm that the cause is indeed dysfunctional bleeding before beginning this treatment.

It is all right to take pause for short term but an evaluation and treatment of the cause is more important. Please discuss these with your doctor and get yourself completely evaluated.

Hope this satisfies your query.
