How Safe Is Taking Levothyroxine For Thyroid?

I got on thyroid med 13 months ago, Levothyroxine 50 mcg. I have not lost any weight, but have lost some hair. I have not gained any energy which I was told I would. I have been sick 6 times in 13 months with colds, and sinus problems. I have never been this sick in my entire life. I believe it is the thyroid meds. I dont really need the thryoid meds. Was put on it because I told my dr I felt tired which I am going through menopause.

Welcome to HCM. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Your symptoms are not the side effects of thyroid medications, probably it is menopausal symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
