How Safe Is Naturogest, L-Arginine And N Acetylcysteine Granules During Pregnancy?

Hi,

I am 35 yrs old and iam in my 10th week of pregnancy and i am 85 Kgs - 165 cms ht.

Doctor has given me Naturogest 300 mg once for 30 days and L-Arginine & N Acetylcysteine Granules for 1 month.

I dont know whether i should use them or it is just for sale purpose she has given me.

Please advise.

Let me elaborate on the medications one by one.
The first one - Naturogest 300 mg.
This is a natural progesterone preparation.
Progesterone is the hormone that supports a growing pregnancy.
It is quite safe to take it.
Generally it is recommended to prescribe progesterone for high risk pregnancies, or ones with prior miscarriages or present history of miscarriage.
In your case, if there is no such factor, it might be given because of your advanced maternal age.
L arginine and N acetylcysteine granules are given to increase the blood circulation to the baby.
This is given to prevent problems in the mother and baby that can occur due to the advanced maternal age.
I do not think anybody would prescribe them for sale purposes.
Both the medications are quite valid ones for early pregnancy.
