How risky the surgery is for jaw plate removal ?

hey its sharon i had jaw sugery under 6 years ago i have really bad problems with my lower left jaw i getting my plate removed i want to know how many risks they are? and how long uesly people wait for this surgery? p.s it isnb t a tmj disorder need a moxifoal surgeon to replay
