How Often Should I Visit Doctor For HIV Positive Treatment?

Should I see my doctor? I am HIV positive and began my anti viral treatment 2 months ago. Efavirenz in the morning without food and truvada in the evening (daily for both) I don t see my infectologist for another month and had blood work done for this visit Levels are as follows... Leukocytes - 8.1 Lynfocytes - 31.44 Monocytes - 11% Eosinophil - 5% Basophil - .6% Neutrophil - 52% Also my Cd4/Cd8 counts are 26% and 573 and my virl load for HIV is 378 Any help in this regard would be appreciated.. Thanks!

Thanks for posting your query.

Monitoring for clinical progress, drug toxicity and drug interaction are very important as far as in case of HIV management.
So I used to advise my patients to have a review once in a month, so that I can pick up any adverse effects early and correct the same for the successful management of HIV disease. If you are busy or far away, and as your CD4 count is above 500, you can visit your physician once in two months or according to the instruction of your physician.
