How Much Time Should Eardrum Rupture Take To Heal ?

hi,my son is 5 years & 7 months he was playing in an aqua park where a boy hits my childs right ear strongly with his legs my son screams out of pain it lasts for about 3 hours there was also a yellowish liquid secreations that came out of his ear we went to the doctor he said my son had a small eardrum hole. there is no infection in his ear but there is wax the doctor couldnt get it out please i need to know if this wax can affect the healing process of the eardrum? also i need to know what shall i do to help my son s eardrum heal fast & how much time should it take to heel?please answer my three questions & thanks for ur concern

Hi,thanks for query.Do not worry,minor perforation heals readily and there is nothing much to worry about.It normally takes couple weeks to heal properly depending the size and location of perforation.Wax is fine and will not interfere.You need to do nothing ,just do as advised by your doctor.
