How much are cardiologist appointments??

My friend is having trouble with his heart and he is in such denial. He thinks all it is a heart murmur, but I ve talked to my pediatric Dr. about it and she told me that he should go to a cardiologist. I ve had heart problems and surgery so I know that things can get very serious if not treated soon. His family either doesn t seem to care or believe him much. They don t have health insurance(or so he tells me) and I need to know how much money I need to earn to take him to the doctor. Does anyone know?

I don't know how old you are, but I doubt you can afford it. We're talking hundreds after diagnostic tests are done. Just the visit could cost up to around 300 dollars. There are free clinics. At least get him to go for a screening and if the doc there thinks something is wrong, they can refer him and give him some referrals for financial assistance. Sounds like you are a good friend.
