Since it is negative, you probably do not have the disease because this is window period when HIV may not be detected until about 3-4 months later. You can do Western Blot confirmatory test to be sure. You should use universal barrier precautions to avoid transmission of HIV. Use condom to prevent spread oh HIV and other STDs. Practice safe sex.
