How Long Would It Take For Misoprostol To Induce Abortion?

hello sir ..i had sex with my girlfriend on january but she had periods on 17 th jan to 22 jan .but after that she had not periods till 23rd of march and meanwhile on feb itself we had sex...i tested on 23 march by pregnacy kit and result is positive thn i gave her unwanted kit(5 tablets)one on 23 at 5 PM and remainng on 24 th march after 20 hrs(2 tablets microprostal ) and (after 2 hrs rest 2 microprostal tablets)22 hrs respectvley. but till 25 march 1 pm she hasnt any bleeding she feels only light fever(problem is that she is only 17 years) .Please sir help me out as we havnt any other option how many time it will take or either it will not work .
Help me out to further what should we do sir

Hello,

You did not mention regarding confirmation of your pregnancy so first of confirming it by a urine pregnancy test, and after that confirm its location by ultrasound. Because it may cause severe vaginal bleeding and cramps, it is not advisable to take unwanted kit without consulting a qualified gynecologist. You can take it before seven weeks of pregnancy.

The kit contains five tablets. One big tablet Mifepristone. It is to be taken orally first, then after 24 hours remaining four tablets of Misoprostol are to be taken orally at once. Bleeding (abortion) occurs within six hours to five days.

But it may have severe complications like incomplete abortion, profuse bleeding, pelvic or uterine infection. So, first the pregnancy should be confirmed by ultrasound, and its location like it should be within the uterus. After the bleeding stops, it is obligatory to confirm the complete abortion by consulting a gynecologist. But I would suggest you go to the hospital for supervision.
