How Long Will Pain And Shortness Of Breath Continue After Taking Treatment For Blood Clots In Lungs?

Have been treated in hospital for blood clots in both lungs. How long should I expect pain and shortness to continue? Still having both after 2wks from hospital. Was told by DR. clots would not dissolve maybe for 3 - 6 mths. Still feeling like I did when I was admitted.

Hi,

I read your medical history and feel sorry for the delicate and painful situation you are in.

As long as the clots will be still there, unfortunately, you'd feel pain. However, the pain will be vanishing after the first month with reduction in clot size.

Please follow the advise and treatment as given by your doctor. Avoid stressful situation or any overload in physical activity.

Wish fast recovery!
