Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM forum,
Blood in stool is not commonly seen in children and its presence is suggestive of infection (bacterial infection) and called as dysentery, which warrants an antibiotic and not just zinc. So kindly re consult your doctor and preferably take the sample of blood containing stool, so that he gets a better idea of kind of infection child has got.
Hope I answered you query adequately. Let me know if there is any further clarification you need. Take Care.
