How Long The Sutures Stay In The Ear After Tympanoplasty?

I had a left tympanoplasty this past monday. The first try didn't work (doc is not sure why). He went throught the canal the first time and behind my ear this second time. My question is: How long can the sutures stay in before being taken out. I go next thursday to get them out, which will be 10 day since they were done. Is that too long?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, Generally post tymphano mastoidectomy sutures will be taken out between 7-10 days of surgery. As you said it may be a revision surgery. The suture should not give up and make the wound opened causes many complications. So follow your ENT surgeon advice for the better recovery. take care
