How Long The Steroid Injection Take To Give Relief To The Pain Due To Osteo Arthritis?

Five days ago I had a steroid injection into the ball of my foot. This was for osteo arthritis. I had it on tues anod was ok until Friday when I when for a walk. Since then I have been in a lot of pain. Will this pain go easier and when will I know when the injection has worked or not?

Steroid will cause pain relief for 3 weeks to 3 months. It will take effect with in few days. You feel pain relief initially due to local aneasthesia mixed with steroid. Steroid will show its effect from 3 weeks on wards.
