Results of stroke vary from the size and site of lesion.Dysfunction corresponds to the are that have been damaged.
It all depends upon the disability whether emotional,physical or mental.If the patient is in depression it can worsen the outcome.
A Significant no of patient remain unconsious after a major stroke.
Rehabilitation nd family support is necessary for a long term survival.

Hi,thanks for query.Age does not matter here.The after effects of stroke and its out come depends upon the cause of stroke,the area of brain damaged and how early treatment was intiated.Above all the will of person to live is important for this.There are not fix rule for this.
