Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concern.
The most common causes of hyperthyroidism are Hashimoto thyroiditis and total thyroidectomy.
In Hashimoto thyroiditis the thyroid gland can not produce enough hormones and is a cronic condition. That means that the treatment is longlife.
Total removal of the thyroid gland for different reasons means also that the thyroid function must be substituted.
In your case i would recommend you to low the dose, from 150 to 125 daily and recheck the TSH after 6 weeks.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
