How long it take to become pregnant after abortion?

I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage in December and had to have a surgical procedure to remove the fetus in early January. My partner and I would like to try for a baby again as soon as possible, I am over 36 years old. How safe is to try straight away? I ve read the it might take longer after abortion to become pregnant . I m also worried that, although I ve had my first period back and everything seemed fine, my stool is still very dark. Is it normal, or could this be an internal bleeding still from the time of the abortion ? I take preconception pregnancy vitamins but no other medication. Thank you.

You are already 36 so the age factor is there but as for safety it is fine keep trying don't worry about whether it takes longer who knows you may get pregnant in next cycle also please keep trying .As for the dark coloured stools since you are on preconception vitamins if it contains Iron in it your stools will be dark in colour which is not a problem. But if you are not on Iron preparation please consult your doctor .
All the best.

Don't worry you proceed with your partner and you will get the baby soon but the only thing you have to take care is you should be healthy in all terms before you are planning for it. Next thing is for dark stool- it might be due to vitamins you take or there may be some internal bleeding. Please do not hesitate to contact me on if you have further queries.

it is safe to try for baby now, and your age is 36 it is better to try as soon as possible, continue preconceptional medications, like folate tab, dont worry about dark stool bleeding in uterus wont cause dark stool.
Take care
