How Long Does Zoton Fastabs Take To Treat Acid Reflux?

Hi, i am 33 and 5ft 4. I have acid reflux and a small hiatus hernia. I am on Zoton fastabs since Jan. How long does it take acid reflux to heal, my symptom is trouble swallowing. Things are a little better since taking the PPI'S but i still can't drink liquids properly. Another thing is when i talk to doctors about it they don't seem to realize the seriousness of this problem and not one of them can explain to me why having problems with swallowing is associated with GERD. I would like to pinpoint the exact cause of my swallowing problem. Thanks, Nenah
