How Long Does Diverticulitis Take To Get Cured?
How do you know when you can begin eating solid food again after a severe diverticulitis flare? Do you have to have a bowel movement if the pain and cramping are gone? I am in my 3 day of Cipro 500mg and Flagyl 500 mg and just today passed gas. Thank you for your help.

It takes a while and best not to push it. When does a cut heal? sort of scabbed over in 2-3 days. It is pretty ok by a week but there is still a scar. I would go with those numbers.
BUT, the abnormal shape fo the gut wall (diverticulosis) which almost always is there underlying diverticulitis remains and probably won't ever go away so some foods are risky and most foods are ok.
