How Long Does Prednisone Take To Cure Poison Ivy Allegry?
I have been diagnosed with poison Ivy. Initial spots showed up 7 days ago in one location and 4 days later started spreading in initial spot (inside thigh above knee) and then appeared on opposite leg. I received a steriod shot 3 days ago and it continued to get worse. The doctor started me on prednisone yesterday. How long before it should improve.

Steroids lik prednisone can't really cure a poison ivy allergy. What these medications do is to cut down on the body's inflammatory response. This can take several days to a week. Good luck
