Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. PCOD is the disease associated with irregular or no ovulation at all.
Clomid is clomiphene citrate which is ovulation induction drug given to increase the chances of pregnancy. At least 6 months of ovulation induction with clomiphene should be given to increase the chances of pregnancy, before switching on to the another ovulation induction drug, like letrozol.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hi,

Please don't be depressed. Since you have just been diagnosed with PCOS you must be quite disheartened especially since you are trying for a child.
I would advise you a few general things before you go for ovulation induction with Clomiphene and Letrozole.
Your BMI is on the higher and before you embark on pregnancy you need to consider weight loss, this will not only increase your chances of pregnancy but also the preganncy itself will be uneventful and normal.
Please consider diet and exercise and also take metformin daily starting with a dose of 500 mg and increasing upto 1000 mg daily. This will help regularize the period and you can then hope to have natural ovulation.
If after 3-6 months it doesn't show results we could consider Clomiphene /Letrozole and if these do not succeed after trying for 6 month we could consider IVF.
But first things first diet and exercise.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
