How Long Does Methamphetamine Stay In The System?

I have been going through alot in the past year but the past couple weeks I ve been slightly consuming methamphetamine and takes the pain away. One of the screws has been pushed in to muscle and it cause sharp knife like and nerve damage. I am having 2nd L4-L5 back surgery in 7days to have hardware removed. I am concerned about how having it in my system will effect the procedure. I know I will have to/ and will be stopping the use of it the day before the surgery so will having it in my system effect the procedure At all?

Depending upon ability to metabolize the drug , the time of meth in body can vary. Generally it can take 2 to 10 days to leave the system . If it shows up in pre operative test then your surgery can be postponed also. It's better to stop it a week before because different bodies have different rate of elimination of drug from system and further any liver or kidney problem can prolong it's elimination.
