How Long Do Typhoid Symptoms Last While On Azithromycin?

I went to see a doctor 3 days ago who said I likely have Typhoid Fever and have been taking Azithromycin since then. I still have a fever (although it is less severe), but I am still finding it hard to breath while standing (I get very tired as I can only breath from the top half of my lungs) and I get full very easily (I ca only eat small amounts - I still suffer from constipation). How long will these symptoms last?

Hi. With the suspected diagnosis of Typhoid fever and a correct treatment with Azithromycin will take about 3 to 5 days for the fever to settle. It takes from 1 to 3 weeks to get you symptom-free. Take plenty of oral fluids in the form of water, fresh fruit juices. Take a full bed-rest for early recovery. Tiredness and breathlessness will settle well with time. I hope i have answered your query to your satisfaction.
