How Long Do The Blisters In The Pubic Area Take To Reduce?

I am in the early stages of shingles. It is mostly on my right side below my waist and a few in my pubic area. Some are now beginning to blister. So far the pain is not unbearable. Will the pain get worse now with the blistering, and about how much longer after blisters will this last? I did see my doctor and was given medication

Hi.
As per your case history of shingles, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral acyclovir taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
