How Long Can Surgery For Anterior Labral Tear Bankart Lesion Be Delayed?
MY SON AGE 15 HAS AN ANTERIOR LABRUM TEAR A BANKART LESION. THE DR. IS SUGGESTING SURGERY BUT MY SON WANTS TO KEEP PLAYING FOOTBALL AND HAVE THE SURGERY AFTER THE SEASON IS OVER. AS A MOTHER, I AM NOT TOO SURE THIS IS A WISE DECISION. YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE.

I have gone through your query.The surgery can be delayed but if he has recurrent dislocation then violent activities should be avioded.Dislocation if happens recurrently can make the condition more worse and in some cases an axillary nerve injury also possible.Hope this may help you.
