How Long Can Shortness Of Breath Remain After Bronchitis?

I had bronchitis in end of May 2017, it went away for a week or so and then came back, I am still suffering with shortness of breath, I have had multiple tests with my Pulmonary doctor and a cardiologist , all tests with heart and lungs were clear and strong, they both agree it is residual bronchitis and it may take some time to go away completely, do you agree.?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, both doctors are right.
Bronchitis may take several months for complete cure.
It may be lifelong if provoking agent (dust, pollution, chemical fumes) is exposed continuously.
So better to take drugs and inhalers given by pulmonologist regularly.
Avoid dust and pollution, wear face mask.
Do warm water gargles and steam inhalation 4-5 times a day.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Refrain from any form of smoking.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
