How Long After Sex Should I Wait To Take A Pregnancy Test?

Hello I had unprotected intercourse with my husband on April 27th, I was supposed to get my period on May 5t but instead i start having spottings very little on May 4th, than on May 5th a little heavier with cramps and Tuesday May 6th I was done, I did a test today it came negative. How soon can I do another test? What I experienced looked like implantation bleeding but I don t know why the test showed negative row as it too early. Thanks

Hello ma'am and welcome.

A pregnancy test can be conducted either 2 weeks after the suspected date of conception or, on or after the second day of a missed period using an early morning urine sample. Although some women may not test positive till up to 3 months into their pregnancy, if you have all symptoms of pregnancy and have missed your regular period, then please report to a doctor for a serum test or an ultrasound.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
