Hi welcome to HCM
I have gone thru your query and can unerstand your concern .
It's fine that you are used to doing alot of exercise on your abs but that is fine hen you were healhy . You have to wait for some time till you recover .
For your info , most people make a full recovery from inguinal hernia repair within six weeks, although many people are able to return to driving, work and light activities within 2 weeks .

Rest depends upon your body's resistance , your immunity and will power ,how fast you recover . Your Doctor will be the best judge to advise you .

Any way, intake of balanced diet containing all essential nutrients helps early recovery , also do mild Exercise , Walk , Pranayam ,neck , legs and hands rotation clock wise and anticlock wise and meditation . Not to do anything in a hurry . Hurry makes curry ,

It is advised to see your surgeon for further guidance .

Hope this helps solves your query .Take care .All the best .Wish Get well soon .
Don't hesitate to come back in case of any further query .
