How Long After Having Late Periods Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?

Hi, I got just married last month and had taken I pill twice since we are still not ready for a baby my periods were regular before takingvipill now its delayed by two months pregnancy test turned negative.I am very much worried now regarding my health my lower stomach is bit more heavy..please help

I understand your query. & concern.
I pill is an emergency contraceptive to be taken within 72 hours ( earlier you take better are the results.)of unprotected sex. It contains high dose of hormones & should not be used as a regular contraception method. It should not be taken repeatedly. if it's taken once in a month, it should be followed by using barrier contraception for remaining month.
Its always better to use monthly oral contraceptives instead, if one is intending for regular sex.
You have taken it twice in one month. You have no periods for last two months.You already have home pregnancy test -ve, still you should get your blood HCG test done to exclude pregnancy. If it is +ve you have to terminate the pregnancy.If not so-
- Mostly it's the hormonal imbalance. It will come within few days.You should wait patiently for period to come & after that,consult a gynecologist for advising a proper contraceptive that suits you.
