How Long Meftal Can Be Given For Fever In Children?

My kid is of 2.3 yrs old, weight 11.7 kg. He is healthy and not much health issues. for last one week he is having fever and throat conjunction only during sleep. within 5-10 mins time fever reaches 105 FH so that I need to keep on watching him to whether the fever is shooting high. Paracetamol was not reducing the fever fast so I give Meftal 120 (4-5 ml) as prescribed by my PED so that the fever comes down in 10 min. Meftal is safe to give everyday (twice) for a week? what can be the reason for these kind of fever?
